About Me

I'm a software developer in Sydney, Australia.

The idea for iTag came about when I was scanning photos from some old family photo albums.
I found many photos with people and places I didn't recognise and wished that more captions had been written against the photos.
About the same time I discovered Flickr, tagging, geotagging and IPTC all at once.

Deciding that I should be adding metadata to all my photos, I found quite a few IPTC tools but none worked the way I wanted them to.
So I decided to write my own.

iTag is maintained in my spare time for a bit of fun and to experiment with technologies that I wouldn't othewise get to play with in my day job.
It should also prove useful on my resume too :)
